The Fulbright U.S. Scholar and Fulbright U.S. Student Programs are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) to support academic exchanges between the United States and over 160 countries around the world.
Each year, ECA, in collaboration with the Institute of International Education, recognizes the U.S. higher education institutions with the highest number of applicants accepted to the Fulbright U.S. Student and Fulbright U.S. Scholar Programs. These “Fulbright Top Producing Institutions” lists are organized by Carnegie Classification. The Chronicle of Higher Education publishes the lists in its online edition.
The lists are published in an interactive format on the Fulbright Top Producing Institutions data site, where users can view the lists by Top Producing category and institutional type for both the current and previous years. Since 2020-2021, the data reflect the total number of awards offered by institution whereas data from prior years reflect the number of awards accepted.
Fulbright Top Producing Institutions for the 2022-2023 year were published on February 10, 2023.
