At the booth, Fulbright alums can participate in an Alum Challenge to receive a Fulbright gift.

10:30-11:30AM – Partner Spotlight with the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE) at Mobility International USA (MIUSA) | Booth 1401
Fulbright is joined by Laurie Laird, program manager for the ECA-sponsored National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE). Please stop by to learn about the resources provided by NCDE, which supports Fulbright, the Department of State, and all exchange administrators and participants, to increase participation of people with disabilities in inclusive international exchange programs. NCDE is a component of Mobility International USA (MIUSA).

10:30-11:30AM – Partner Spotlight: World Learning & the Fulbright Specialist Program
Meet with World Learning Senior Outreach Officer Amirah Nelson and Program Manager Emily Ralic-Moore to learn about the Fulbright Specialist Program, which offers two- to six-week long exchange opportunities for U.S. faculty, administrators, and professionals to serve as consultants and trainers. Also, institutions outside of the United States are invited to learn about the benefits of hosting. Specialist staff will be available throughout the conference.
1:00-1:50PM – Session: How to Advocate for International Education Efforts on Campus
With competing institutional priorities, how can staff demonstrate the value of internationalization to decision-makers? Practitioners from across the higher education landscape share how they have expanded international engagement for their campuses by focusing on leveraging cross-campus relationships and communicating the benefits of internationalization to gain support.
1:00-2:00PM – Partner Spotlight: Amideast and the MENA Fulbright Foreign Student Program
Meet with Amideast Senior Program Officer Theresa Kozelka and Program Manager Katie Dallimore to learn about the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for the Middle East and North Africa, which offers degree-focused and non-degree Masters level programs to students throughout the region. Amideast staff will also be available throughout the conference

Finish up your week at NAFSA on a high note by attending our featured session on the International Education Administrators (IEA) program. The panel discussion will feature two alums of the IEA program and will be moderated by a representation from the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

9:30-10:20AM – Session: Connections for Maximum Impact: Fulbright International Education Administrator Awards
Fulbright International Education Administrator (IEA) awards allow U.S. citizens to travel on fully funded seminars to learn about a country’s higher education system and gain new perspectives. In an interactive session, a panel of alums share their experiences to help the audience pursue this unique professional development opportunity.
