Learn about ways for your institution, faculty, and students to engage with the Fulbright Program.

The partnership between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Fulbright dates back to the program’s founding in 1946 when the inaugural cohort included four HBCU-affiliated participants and Fisk University President, Dr. Charles S. Johnson, joined the Fulbright board. Since then, HBCU students, faculty and administrators participated in opportunities to study, teach, research and carry our projects abroad, as well as welcomed visiting students and faculty to their campuses.

Please join Fulbright and HBCU colleagues at this interactive workshop to learn more about how to engage with the Fulbright Program and take advantage of its resources and training opportunities for HBCU institutions. After a short introduction, participants will be invited to discuss different Fulbright opportunities with HBCU speakers and Fulbright program staff. Speakers will address how Fulbright can help U.S. students and faculty achieve their personal goals, how the program can assist campus internationalization efforts, and how to create or advocate for Fulbright culture on your campus.
